BRILLIANT EARTH Diamond search
Brilliant Earth did a lot of extensive research into the pain points of their customers. After doing some research into this and understanding the customer and the features that are most important to them, I was able to come up with wireframes and mockups that they were able to push through to user testing, which ended up having a positive result. Throughout my time freelancing, we continuously optimize this experience based upon user testing results.
What was I trying to solve?
Needed to make the diamond search page more usable and user friendly to the customer
How to display a diamond image or an option to view the diamond image
Rethink overall filter execution being that there are so many filters a customer could utilize
Wanted to make sure filters had a hierarchy that allowed the customer to see all standard filters, but give the option to utilize advanced filters
Mobile was a bigger struggle, since most of their users actually used desktop due to their higher price points, they really wanted to optimize mobile to try to get more mobile customers
Functionality:
Simplify mobile filters
Give filters a hierarchy of importance
Allow user to choose what filters are important to them (mobile)
Display an actual image of the diamond
Allow customer to view by list and include diamond details, or by thumbnail
The customer will be able to see “The Four C’s” identified at a higher level on desktop (very important features when it comes to diamond purchases)
